PRAYER
Lost in despair, I started to pray…
Because of my dyslexia, I use speak-to-text on my computer, and it's constantly listening. One morning, I was completely lost in despair, and I started to pray. Seeing that my computer captured what I prayed, I reflected on it and wondered if it was something I should share. Often, I share what I'm afraid to share; I find it helps others greatly, so I chose to expand on that prayer. The result is what you see here, and the ending is the prayer I prayed that day.
---
Dear God…
Where are you now
Why not in this space
Can’t I hear your voice
Can’t I see your face
I’m told just breathe
I’am assessing all see
Light a path and I will follow
Feel the barriers holding me
This is my song. This is my prayer.
(Despite what I say)
Don’t let me slip into despair
(Despite what I pray)
Stand screaming at the silence
As the world around me shatters
I wanna do something significant
I wanna do something that matters
Visions in my mind dying for life
So blurred I see the other side
My soul shouts against time
Begging it to stop as I try
Inspiration burns in me
While reality fades away
Shaking through the chains
Trying to grasp my someday
Dear God…
This is my song. This is my prayer.
(Despite what I say)
Don’t let me slip into despair
(Despite what I pray)
Stand screaming at the silence
As the world around me shatters
I wanna do something significant
I wanna do something that matters
Dear God…
You’ve given me these visions in my heart in my mind they are so inspiring yeah bigger than me. Forgive me for being weak. Can you show me the next steps. Can you show me some kind of proof. Can I hear you god…
Where do you want me to go what do you want me to do. Bring me the people the opportunities. give me the discernment and understanding. Give me a directions to take
